1. Introduction

Share&Share stores your data locally by default. It leaves your device only through routes you choose or services required for specific features, such as optional cloud sync, speech recognition, YouTube previews, device backups, sharing, or exporting. You do not need a Share&Share account, and Share&Share does not operate a server that stores your personal content.

Share&Share is an app for capturing and organizing what matters to you: notes, to-dos, alarms, links, files, calculations, folders and calendar items. It also includes EmSree, a voice assistant that helps you capture things and place calls.

This policy explains each of those routes in plain language. "Share&Share", "we" and "us" mean Share&Share by Setpopkar.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Share&Share is kept on your device, inside the app's own private storage:

• your items' contents, titles and captions;
• their dates, times and reminders;
• your folders and subfolders;
• your files and links.

Searching happens on your device; your searches are not sent anywhere. Reminders and alarms are scheduled on your device by your phone's own notification system, and your settings are stored on your device too.

We (Setpopkar) do not receive, store, or have access to any of this.

3. Files and attachments

When you add a file, Share&Share keeps its own copy inside the app's private storage, so the item keeps working even if the original changes or is removed. Temporary copies made while you add, open, share or export files are cleaned up afterwards.

4. Optional cloud sync

Cloud sync is off unless you turn it on.

• Where your data goes: Share&Share sends your data to the cloud storage provider you choose, using your own account with that provider. The copy lives in your storage, under that provider's terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it.
• What the cloud copy contains: your saved content and files, plus a randomly generated device code that Share&Share uses to keep your devices in step. That code is created when the app is installed and is not linked to your identity or your device's hardware.
• The copy is readable: Share&Share stores it as ordinary, readable files (a standard ZIP archive with JSON data, plus your files) and does not encrypt it. Anyone who can access your cloud storage can read it. Your cloud provider's own protections still apply.
• Signing in: access to your cloud account goes through the provider's own sign-in, or through the account already on your device. Share&Share never asks for your cloud password, and keeps sign-in credentials in your device's secure storage, never in your Share&Share data.
• When sync runs: while sync is on, Share&Share may update your cloud copy in the background.
• Disconnecting: you can disconnect at any time. Disconnecting never deletes the files already in your cloud storage.

5. Your device's own backups

Android and iOS can back up app data as part of your device's normal backup, for example Android backup or iCloud Backup. When that is turned on, those backups may include Share&Share's on-device data.

Device backups are created, stored and controlled by your device's platform provider (such as Google or Apple), according to your backup settings and their terms. Share&Share does not run or control them. You can manage them in your device's settings.

6. Contacts and calling

• Contacts: if you allow it, EmSree uses the contacts on your device to find the person you ask it to call. Your contacts are used on your device only. Share&Share never uploads them, never syncs them, and never stores them in your Share&Share data.
• Calling: when you ask EmSree to call someone, Share&Share hands the call to your phone's own calling system. The call itself is handled by your phone and your mobile carrier.

7. Microphone, speech recognition and spoken replies

• Microphone: when you choose to speak instead of type, Share&Share uses your microphone to listen. It does not keep recordings of your voice.
• Speech recognition: your device's speech service turns your words into text. Share&Share asks for on-device recognition where your device supports it. Otherwise, your device may send the audio to Apple's (iPhone, iPad) or Google's (Android) speech-recognition service, under their terms.
• Spoken replies: EmSree's spoken replies use your device's built-in text-to-speech.
• Share&Share has no server that receives your voice or transcripts.

8. YouTube link previews

When you open a saved YouTube link, Share&Share shows the video's preview picture by loading it from YouTube's image server. That request includes the video's ID. Like any request that loads something from the internet, it also reveals your device's network address to YouTube. Nothing else you have saved is sent. Other links show no fetched preview.

This is not advertising, and it does not share your Share&Share content with anyone.

9. Sharing, receiving, opening, importing and exporting

Some actions send information outside Share&Share because you ask for it:

• Sharing: when you share items, Share&Share creates a Share&Share package with the items you selected and hands it to the app you pick.
• Opening a link: the link opens in the app or browser your device chooses.
• Exporting a backup: Share&Share creates a complete backup file of your data and hands it to the destination you choose. Like the cloud copy, this file is not encrypted and can be read by anyone who has it, so choose where you keep or send it carefully.
• Calling: see §6.

What you share or export is then handled by the app or service you chose.

Content shared into Share&Share from other apps, and files you import or restore, are saved on your device. "Import from Cloud" reads from your own cloud storage onto your device and does not upload anything.

10. Recovered copies

If sync finds two different versions of the same item, Share&Share keeps the other version as a separate copy in Old S&S Files, on your device, so nothing is lost silently. Those copies are never uploaded. Deleting them from Old S&S Files is permanent.

11. No analytics or tracking by us

Share&Share runs no analytics or telemetry of its own. We don't collect usage statistics, we don't build a profile of you, and Share&Share itself doesn't track you across other apps or websites. The advertising service described in §12 is provided by Google and is separate from this.

12. Advertising

The free version of Share&Share shows a small number of ads, provided by Google AdMob.

• Ads are not personalized.
• Share&Share never asks for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
• To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's advertising service receives technical information about your device and the ads shown. How Google handles that information is described in Google's own privacy policy. Google provides the same or equal protection of that information as described in this policy and as required by Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.
• This advertising service is provided by Google. It is not an analytics system of ours.
• If you have Premium, the advertising service is not started at all.

13. Ads never see your Share&Share content

This is a firm rule, built into how Share&Share is made. The advertising service never receives anything you keep in Share&Share, including:

• your text, notes or captions;
• your files, their contents or their names;
• your folder or subfolder names;
• the links you save;
• your contacts;
• your calendar items;
• anything you say to or do with EmSree;
• anything you share, receive, import, restore or sync;
• any other information you create in the app.

14. Your advertising choices

Advertising consent and privacy choices are between you and the advertising and platform providers — Google, and Apple on iPhone and iPad.

• Consent: in places where the law requires your consent for advertising (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Share&Share uses Google's consent tool to ask for it before showing ads. The choices offered, and how you can change them, are provided by that tool.
• Device settings: your device's own privacy and advertising settings also apply.
• Premium: if you have Premium, the advertising service and its consent tool are not used at all.

15. Premium

Share&Share Premium is a one-time purchase that permanently removes ads. It is not a subscription.

• Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play.
• We never receive your payment card or billing details.
• Share&Share receives from the store only the purchase information it needs to know whether you own Premium and to restore your purchase on a new or reinstalled device.

16. Our website

The Share&Share website (shareandshare.setpopkararts.com) is a small, static information site. It holds this policy, our terms and our support page.

• It has no accounts, forms, cookies or analytics of ours, and it never receives your Share&Share content.
• It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records visitors' IP addresses for security purposes, under GitHub's own privacy terms.

17. Security

• On your device: your data lives in the app's private storage, protected by your device's own security (for example, your screen lock). Share&Share does not add its own encryption to that storage.
• Credentials: sign-in credentials for cloud sync are kept in your device's secure storage.
• Readable copies: your cloud copy and exported backups are readable files (§4, §9). Protect them the way you would protect any personal document.

18. Keeping and deleting your information

• Deleting an item: the item is marked as deleted so the deletion can reach your other synced devices. Its files are cleaned up from the app's storage afterwards.
• Removing the app: removes the data stored on that device. Copies elsewhere — in your cloud storage, your exported backups, or your device backups — stay where they are until you delete them there.
• Email: if you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
• Advertising and purchases: information handled by Google's advertising service, or by Apple's App Store or Google Play for purchases, is kept according to their own policies.

19. Your choices and requests

• On your device: you control your data. You can view, edit, export or delete it in the app at any time.
• Cloud sync: you can turn it off or disconnect.
• Your copies elsewhere: you control your cloud copy in your own cloud account, and your device backups in your device's settings.
• Questions or requests: contact us. Because we don't hold your Share&Share content, we can't see, change or delete it for you, but we're happy to help you do it yourself.
• Advertising and purchases: for information handled by Google's advertising service or by the app stores, you can also use the privacy choices and request options those providers offer.

20. Children

Share&Share is a personal capture and organization tool. It is not designed for children and is not marketed as a children's app.

21. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Important changes will also be reflected in the app's privacy summary.
